About Younes

I am a tutor in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology with a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to quality ATAR science education. With experience teaching at universities in Australia and overseas, as well as working with professional engineers and senior lecturers, I bring a practical, real-world perspective to academic learning.

Having worked across multiple engineering consultancy, construction, and heavy industries , I understand the critical connection between theory and practice. This allows me to help students see not just how concepts work, but why they matter.

In my experience, many students struggle with the fundamental principles of science. These gaps can prevent them from reaching their full potential. My approach focuses on strengthening these foundations while tailoring each lesson to the student’s individual learning style. I aim to make complex subjects engaging, accessible, and enjoyable, helping students build confidence and achieve lasting success.

• Bachelor and Master of Chemical Engineering – Tehran University
• Master of Civil Engineering – University of Queensland
• PhD in Environmental Engineering – Griffith University

About the lesson

Tutoring Services
My teaching approach is centred on helping students build confidence in their abilities and achieve high performance in QCE, VCE and HSC ATAR science. I focus on strengthening fundamental understanding, followed by guided practice from simple to more advanced problems so that students develop strong problem-solving skills and self-confidence.

I believe that consistent practice and time are essential for mastering concepts and successfully completing assignments and exams.

The first lesson is a free introductory meeting, where we get to know each other and identify the student’s goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. This step is essential for tailoring an effective learning plan.

OPTIONS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
There are two options to choose from:

1-Essential content modules
Pay as you go for your selected chapters of your chosen textbook. You can stop your lesson at any time you wish if not scheduled. Each session is 1.5 hour long (Approx. 50%/50% split between concept theory/exam questions/application). This option is suitable for individual at years 10, 11 and 12. Normally 1.5 hour per week per subject session should be enough for students progress.

2-Accelerated master class
Pay as you go for 10 weeks entire subject enhancement courses. In this option Cambridge Senior Mathematics Courses are taught for years 10, 11 and 12. The enhancement package courses contain 30 hours, 2 x 1.5 hours/week for each subject including General Maths, Math Methods and specialist mathematics.

Similar courses are also offered for other science subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology. This option is suitable for individuals and groups.

Courses cover brief teaching, answer to questions, students engagement and plenty of solved problems from variety of textbooks and past ATAR exam papers. Courses Follow Australian Curriculum.

OPTIONS FOR GAMSAT AND UCAT STUDENTS

Here also two options are available

3-Essential content modules
Pay as you go for your selected chapter of your choice. You can stop your lesson at any time you wish if not scheduled. The subject content is taught from my own written book which is designed specifically for Gamsat and Ucat preparation. This option is flexible and suitable for individuals. Here also 1.5 hour per week per subject session should be enough for students progress.

4-Accelerated master class
Pay as you go for entire subject of your choice course. In this option the subject content is taught from my own written books. Package courses contain 10 weeks, 3 hours/week for each entire subject including senior Maths for UCAT and Maths, physics, biology and chemistry for GAMSAT. All courses include a brief teaching plus lots of GAMSAT style examples. Similar courses will also be available on request for other subjects such as english and social science. This option is suitable for individuals and .groups.

The biology package courses cover fundamental science based knowledge (biology, physiology and genetics) and skills such as data analysis, graph reading, clinical trial review,, process change, negative feedback loop and problem-solving including lots of GAMSAT type examples.

The chemistry courses will cover general chemistry, biochemistry and organic chemistry principles (like law of mass conservation, atomic theory, oxidation- reduction, acid-base solutions, etc) and processes (like chemical reactions, chemical bond formation and decomposition, chemical separation techniques, chemical syntheses, reaction kinetics, etc) plus GAMSAT type examples. Individuals can request for specific area of their interests to be taught.

QUARTERLY PROGRAM (COURSES)

1) 1/4/26 to 9/6/26, Duration 10 weeks, 2 x 1.5 hrs/w, Total of 30 hours covering each entire science subject

2) 10/6/26 to 18/8/26, Duration 10 weeks, 2 x 1.5 hrs/w, Total of 30 hours covering each entire science subject

3) 19/8/26 to 27/10/26, Duration 10 weeks, 2 x 1.5 hrs/w, Total of 30 hours covering each entire science subject

4) 28/10/26 to 9/2/27, Duration 10 weeks, 2 x 1.5 hrs/w, total of 30 hours covering each entire science subjects

These courses are scheduled to provide foundational knowledge, comprehensive understanding and analytical-reasoning skills. They will be completed prior to the March and September GAMSAT, each year.

Classes are at Caloundra, Alborz Premedical College-APC Tutoring Centre

Availability:
Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Saturdays and Sundays, flexible
