About Zishan

I'm a computer engineering student who not too long ago was also a complete beginner to programming. Computers in general felt intimidating and unwelcoming as if reserved for experts only. But every expert was once a beginner. And I am eager to show you that programming isn't that hard - anyone can get into it. All you have to do - and what I had to do - was get started. Just like any other field, small but consistent efforts to learn and improve go a long way and soon enough you might be that expert everyone is in awe of!

Rest assured that I get it. I remember being a beginner. I remember the concepts that initially felt confusing and the questions that naturally came to mind when learning them. This allows me to anticipate common difficulties and explain ideas in a way that makes sense from a beginner's perspective.

About the lesson

My teaching style is centred around understanding why something exists before learning how to use it. Rather than simply presenting a new programming concept and asking you to memorise the syntax, we'll start with a problem that needs solving. We'll then explore how programmers naturally arrive at that concept as a solution to the problem. So instead of learning a collection of seemingly arbitrary rules, you'll build an intuitive, deep understanding of what each tool is actually for — from your very first lesson.

My 2 teaching guarantees:
No overwhelming technical language - I explain concepts through simple stories and relatable problems, using intuitive language rather than unnecessary jargon.
Story first, syntax second - We start with the problem and understand the idea behind the solution. Once the idea makes sense, the Python syntax follows naturally.
