About Thalia
With 6 years of experience in computer programming education, I enjoy helping students turn challenging coding concepts into clear and manageable ideas. I teach learners from K–12 to college first year and provide lessons designed around their individual abilities, interests, and objectives.
I believe programming is best learned through understanding, practice, and curiosity. Instead of simply providing answers, I guide students through the thinking process behind each solution. This helps them develop logical reasoning, analytical skills, and the confidence to tackle unfamiliar coding problems.
My lessons can support beginners who are learning programming for the first time as well as students looking to improve their existing skills. Depending on your needs, we can work on programming basics, algorithms, data structures, functions, loops, conditions, debugging, object-oriented programming, assignments, projects, or exam preparation.
I maintain a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students can ask questions freely and learn from mistakes without pressure. I adapt my explanations and activities to match the learner’s pace, making each session focused and productive.
My aim is not only to help students complete their coursework but also to give them skills they can use beyond the classroom. I want every learner to finish each lesson with greater understanding, stronger confidence, and a positive attitude toward programming.

My lessons are built to help students discover that programming is not just about writing code, it is about thinking creatively, solving problems, and turning ideas into working solutions. I work with learners from K–12 through the first year of college and adjust each lesson to suit their individual needs.
Sessions can include programming basics, coding practice, algorithms, logical reasoning, debugging techniques, functions, loops, conditional statements, and introductory software development concepts. I break challenging subjects into manageable steps and use demonstrations and practice tasks to reinforce understanding.
Students are encouraged to participate actively rather than simply listen. We work through problems together, examine mistakes, improve solutions, and gradually develop independent coding habits. I aim to create a relaxed learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.
Lessons can also be tailored for homework assistance, academic projects, test preparation, or general programming improvement. My teaching approach focuses on understanding the concepts behind the code so students can apply their knowledge to new problems.
