About Zeynah

I’m Zeynah Alhadad and I’m currently a 5th year medical student at Imperial College London. I am currently ranked in the top 10% of my medical school and I’ve been tutoring students for 5 years now, ranging from students aged 5-18.

Outside of medicine and tutoring, I’ve recently chaired the charity committee of Imperial College School of Medicine where I organised volunteering opportunities for medical students, supported local charities and organised multiple fundraising events. I enjoy performing by singing and dancing and spend a lot of my free time in rehearsals.

About the lesson

I am incredibly passionate about teaching and guiding students to reach their full potential through tools like active learning and adapting my teaching skills to suit each individual as I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn and to succeed if they receive the right support. I think organisation skills are incredibly important when teaching students and adaptability to cater to a wide range of ages and abilities.

I’ve supported students aged 5-18 through the Imperial Outreach programme, which specializes in supporting students with learning disabilities to ensure that they are given the right tools to adapt their learning to suit their needs, at an especially crucial point of their schooling lives. These tools- like presenting new vocabulary & reading into smaller chunks, and using concept checking questions, are tools that they are able to carry throughout their schooling lives and I’ve seen these students grow and develop into brilliant young minds. I also support students as they enter their GCSEs and A-Levels by focusing on exam technique. I’ve supported a number of students in their medical school application process and recently was part of the medical school interview panel for Imperial College School of Medicine.
