About Elloise

I went to Burnt Mill Academy where I took my GCSEs Maths - 8 English Li - 8 English La - 7 I studied Fashion Retail for two years in London I studied Prop making and special effects in Worthing at BA level and graduated with a first class honours. I have been tutoring since December 2019. My students typically move up 2-3 grade boundaries minimum when working with me. My most recent students achieved 5-7s in their English and maths 4-7s. (Mixed of foundation and higher)

About the lesson

I’ve been tutoring for six years and specialise in supporting students through exam preparation and confidence building. My focus is always on strengthening subject knowledge while also building high level exam technique and independent confidence. In the first session, I assess current understanding against the exam board topic list and identify priority areas so we can create a focused plan moving forward, which is reviewed weekly. I’ll then share the assessment and plan with you after the session for approval, so you’re fully aware of our direction and your child’s starting point.

Sessions are highly interactive — we can both edit work live, which helps me give immediate feedback and keeps students fully engaged.

All of my classes are one to one so it really helps the student bond better with me and feel more comfortable. I won’t move on until I know the student understands and I will continue to work with them until they do. To make sure they understand what I am teaching, I will run them through practice exam questions. I also do mini mocks where we sit down and do an exam together and then independently.
