About Jacques
I am a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham, achieving a 1st class master’s degree in chemical engineering. I have always been dedicated to education and in particular mathematics, achieving A* in mathematics at GCSE and A* in further mathematics and mathematics at A level, achieving 100% in A level mathematics. I am excited to share my successful experiences and help you to achieve the best grades. Currently in my spare time I try to stay active by going running and I am also trying to learn French and coding using python.

My style will be focused around example questions and making sure you understand every step required to achieve the answer. This will mean the method can be applied to all forms of that question. During my studies the best way I found was to go through examples and the mark schemes to ensure that the method of achieving the answer was correct, this is because the method can be used in multiple forms of the question. Repetition and hard work are also essential, not being satisfied by getting the right answer but a desire to fully understand how you got to the answer. My lessons will allow you to ask for any help with particular examples or topics that you are struggling with, as well as having the chance to work through a range of problems I have created across the topics in the syllabus. I will ensure that progress is measured by recapping previous problems or topics that were covered, I also believe that seeing yourself progressing also encourages the learning process.
