About Declan
I am 18 year old online and over the board chess player, reaching 2000 Elo online and roughly 1750 FIDE. I have played chess competitively for several years and have developed my skills through regular study, tournament games and analysis. I particularly enjoy helping newer players understand the game and improve their own decision-making.

I am a 2000-rated Chess.com rapid player with extensive experience playing and analysing chess. Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes and adapted to the student's level, focusing on tactics, calculation, positional understanding and practical decision-making. I teach beginners through intermediate players and aim to make lessons engaging, clear and tailored to each student's weaknesses. Most lessons would be focused on completing puzzles, analysing prior games and mistakes, as well as games from grandmasters and world champions.
