About Anshuman
Hi! I’m Anshuman, a passionate chess player with a 2100+ Chess.com rapid rating and several years of experience playing and studying the game. I genuinely enjoy analyzing positions, finding creative solutions, and helping other players understand the ideas behind their moves.
I believe chess is best learned by understanding rather than simply memorizing. Every student has a different playing style, experience level, and set of goals, so I adapt my lessons accordingly. Whether you’re completely new to chess or looking to become a stronger and more confident player, I’ll help you develop your tactical vision, calculation, positional understanding, and decision-making through practical examples and clear explanations.
Outside of chess, I’m passionate about mathematics and problem-solving, which naturally complement the analytical side of the game. I enjoy bringing that same logical and structured approach to my lessons while keeping them engaging and enjoyable.
My goal is to help you not only improve your rating, but also learn to think more clearly, understand positions more deeply, and enjoy chess even more.

I offer personalized chess lessons for beginner and intermediate players, tailored to each student’s level, goals, and playing style. As a 2100+ rated Chess.com player, I focus on developing the skills that make a real difference during games — tactical awareness, calculation, strategic planning, opening principles, endgame technique, and decision-making.
Rather than relying on memorization, I teach students how to understand the position, recognize patterns, and think independently. We’ll work through practical positions, analyze your own games, identify recurring mistakes, and build strategies to improve them.
Every lesson is interactive and adapted to the student’s needs, with regular practice and constructive feedback to ensure steady progress. Whether you’re learning the fundamentals or looking to break through a rating plateau, my goal is to help you become a more confident, thoughtful, and well-rounded chess player.
