About Christopher

Hello there! I'm Chris, a Second Year Undergraduate at the University of Oxford, and I'm excited to be your tutor for Maths and Chemistry.

My motivation to tutor is to ensure you receive the proper support and guidance to succeed. I have gained extensive experience guiding both younger students and peers in their academic journeys, and would love to do the same for you.

Beyond academics, I'm here to assist you with university applications. I believe everyone deserves the best opportunities for a successful future, and I'll go the extra mile to ensure you have the strongest possible chance of reaching your desired university.

Whether you're preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, I'll be dedicated to offering personalised tutoring tailored to your unique learning style and pace.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology: *Can be adapted to students*, but will typically consist of a *short quiz* about past content, followed by learning new content, and then doing *guided practice questions* to solidify understanding.

Lessons can range from *45 minutes to over an hour* depending on the needs of the student (ie perhaps they want to run through a past paper, which can take longer)

Experience:
- Tutoring Year 7s/8s in their end of year projects for 2 years
- Supervising homework time as a College Prefect for 2 years
- Teaching English to children aged 11-18 for 1 year
- Helping Year 12s/13s with their Oxford/Cambridge applications (personal statements, interview practice, exam preparation)
