About Haroon
I began my Taekwondo journey at the age of 5 and earned my black belt by 11, consistently training ever since. Over the years, I’ve competed in national sparring tournaments across the UK and was appointed captain of the University of Leicester’s Taekwondo team, where I led the team to multiple gold medals at British University Championships. Since 2017, I’ve been instructing children and adults at BJ Academy where I was trained myself, as well as teaching during my time at university. My teaching style balances discipline, growth, and calm focus under pressure, values deeply rooted in my years of martial arts training. Outside of Taekwondo, I graduated with a degree in Economics and co-founded The London Network—London’s fastest-growing networking events company for tech entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors. We’ve hosted over 70+ events with 3,000+ attendees, recently partnering with Perplexity AI for an 80-person AI pitch night. We’re now expanding to 20+ cities across the UK. I bring the same mindset I learned in Taekwondo—calm under pressure, focused on growth, and disciplined execution into every area of my life, including my business and teaching.
