About Chris
I am a student who is looking to inspire individuals to find their own unique approach to music. Bass is the core of (almost!) all forms of music, providing the rhythm and fundamental harmony. The Double Bass itself lacks the attention it deserves. I am hoping through these lessons, my students can provide the fundamentals to any musical gathering!

I can provide lessons which are best suited to your individual needs and style wether it is strictly academic or for own personal expression.
I have worked with musicians such as Jean Toussaint, Eddie Henderson, Nikki Illes, Jim Corry, Jamil Sheriff, Mark Chandler, extensive 1 to 1 sessions with Zoltan Dekany for 3 Years.
I have extensive involvement in many bands, performing at many venues across the UK, supporting Nubiya Garcia, Theon Cross, Levitation Orchestra, Emma Rawicz and much more. I have also been apart of larger groups such as the Northern Swing Orchestra, Contemporary Jazz Orchestra as wells as various theatre productions in pit bands.
I offer hour long lessons or 30 minute sessions, whichever works best for yourself. I would assist in developing fundamental techniques and principles that will ensure swift progress, as well as specific musical examples that best contextualise these ideas and inspire creativity.
These lessons can suit younger players but 15+ age group might benefit more. Beginner or Intermediate!
