About Euan
Hi, I’m a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at UWA with a strong interest in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I completed these subjects at an ATAR level in high school and developed a strong understanding of both the content and how to perform well in exams.
I focus on helping students achieve clear, measurable improvement, whether that’s increasing their grades, strengthening their problem-solving skills, or building confidence in challenging topics. I value understanding over memorization, and I aim to make difficult concepts feel manageable and logical.
Having recently been through the ATAR system myself, I understand the pressure students face and the strategies needed to succeed. I’m approachable, patient, and committed to helping students improve consistently while still pushing them to reach their potential.
I have a strong passion for music, playing both the piano and viola, with particular strengths in aural skills and music theory. I’m also happy to support students in these areas if needed.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing basketball, going to the gym regularly, and I’m a big fan of the Atlanta Hawks. I also value maintaining a consistent routine and balanced lifestyle.
I enjoy helping people and have five years of experience in customer service, where I developed strong communication skills. Making other people’s lives easier is a genuine passion of mine, and I see tutoring as another way to continue doing that.
Lastly, I understand firsthand how stressful the ATAR can be, and I place strong emphasis on breaking things down so they feel more manageable and less overwhelming. It’s easy to get stuck in your own head and feel overwhelmed, but with clear planning, a steady routine, and a step-by-step approach, things often become far less daunting than they initially seem.

My tutoring style is very hands-on and student focused. I believe that the best way to improve in math, physics, and chemistry is through active practice, rather than just listening to explanations. Because of this, my lessons are centered around working through problems together, developing understanding as we go, and building confidence step by step.
At the beginning, I like to identify each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. This allows me to tailor lessons to their individual needs, so we can focus on the topics that will make the biggest difference. I place a strong emphasis on building a solid conceptual understanding first, then reinforcing it through targeted practice and exam-style questions.
I also focus on exam strategies, including how to approach different question types, manage time effectively, and perform under pressure, so students feel prepared and confident going into assessments.
Lessons are typically around 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on what works best for the student.
I am currently a third-year Mechanical Engineering student and have completed ATAR math, physics, and chemistry in high school. I understand both the course content and the demands of exams, and I aim to help students improve not just their marks, but their overall confidence.
My lessons are suited for high school students studying ATAR-level math, physics, or chemistry at any stage of their course, as well as for students going through lower school math and sciences.
