About Ben

I am a musician, studying the final year of an honours degree. I have taught saxophone for 3 years with fantastic results. I am an active performer, composer and teacher so I can offer a wide range of teaching experience and expertise

About the lesson

My teaching method is very practical and flexible. Since I have found that different methods work better for different people I tailor my teaching to each individual. In my Saxophone lessons I have a keen focus on production of tone and on how to produce a range of different tones to suit the style of music you are playing. I have developed a simple and effective way of teaching jazz improvisation which makes jazz fun and accessible to any level of player.

Perfect! Ben is a really nice guy, just had one lesson but I already can see that he is very knowledgeable and accomplished. Would recommend to any in the area who are interested in saxophone or music lessons. Very approachable and easy to talk to. I was nervous at first but he put me at ease straight away. I eagerly look forward to meeting him again and learning more.
