About Shaun
I am a 4th PhD student at the University of Birmingham, working generically in the field of Gravitational Wave Astronomy but with an active interest in all areas of fundamental physics. I graduated from the University of Bath with a first class honours in Physics, and obtained my Master's degree in theoretical physics from Imperial College London. I have prior experience in private tutoring A-level and undergraduate students across the physical sciences.
My motivation to pursue a career in academia was in part due to the teachers/professors I encountered throughout my life. I found that the best teachers were those that showed passion and gave great care and attention to their students. I wish to offer the same qualities to those that don't feel that they receive this in their current educational journey.

Lessons available for early GCSE students to advanced A-level students. I cater my sessions to the individual student and which can be discussed beforehand, but here is a general overview of how I can approach sessions:
- Perform lecture-style sessions on an iPad, providing demonstrative calculations. This is particularly effective if the student provides questions/topics before the session.
- Walkthroughs of problem sheets or past papers. This also includes feedback on those that are already complete.
-If applicable, provide very intuitive examples/demonstrations for topics and themes of which the student is struggling to understand.
