About Yashaswini

A bit about me, I started 'BeYogaBound’ with an intention to share this rich empowering knowledge and practice of yoga with others. A Bangalorean by birth, I now live in Goa where I teach Yoga.

The journey that started with an MBA and a corporate job with Pantaloons as a marketing manager slowly steered me into the direction of body awareness. In 1998 I was already a state level gymnast and then discovered yoga in 2010, when I was a few kilograms over my ideal weight, quite weak in body and sleepless nights just at age of 24. A dear friend worried about my struggle walked me into a Yoga Studio one day and less did I know that I found the best way to build strength in my spine having suffered chronic pain & discomfort for several years after a road accident, not only did I loose weight I started to sleep again, discovered the ocean of wisdom to life through practice and philosophy. Going back to the mat, I grew more fond of it every day. I simply loved the newly discovered feeling of both strength yet flexible softness of my body. An extra bonus was the comfort, clarity and peace of mind because I was solving and decluttering my mind, which put an end to insomnia, a bad lifestyle like nobody's business all at the age of 25, that became a part of my life. A new way of life unfolded, food, water, breath, sleep became the most important things to take care of in life.
I did my first teacher training course in 2012, firmly shut the door on corporate life and have since never looked back.
