My classes are meant for persons of all age who have knowledge or know nothing about the art form. I am here to make you understand that yoga is a personal journey which resonates with your own unique personality. My classes will not have any judgement or comparison. I will make you realise your innate physical and mental strength which you didn't know existed in you.
Retour à la tradition du yoga. Se reconnecter avec notre Soi véritable. Douceur et pleine conscience. s'accueillir tel que nous sommes avec amour et compassion.
My teaching on Yoga session is more therapeutical & meditative mood that has aim improve your awareness of your body & mind. It would be effective for people who have Physical & Mental problems and certain limitation as like prenatal state of women, having numbness in partial part of the body.
I offer classes for all abilities and learning styles. My vast experience in teaching has developed my ability to successfully tailor lessons to each individual. My classes are very student focused. I'm friendly, approachable, down-to-earth. I pride myself in being an excellent communicator and I have a natural enthusiasm. My main objectives of teaching yoga are: fun and form.
Hello! I grew up dancing in British-Columbia where I trained and performed in ballet and contemporary dance. Upon graduation, I was given the opportunity to study performance dance where I continued training in ballet and contemporary dance at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario.
For my class styles please refer (concealed information) I teach sustainable yoga where the practise is more dynamic and driven to create more deep connection within your body and my mindfulness technique are taught using different breathing techniques. KIDS YOGA: I teach for kids in their own playful language where yoga is integrated with their school syllabus.
I approach each class and individual as unique. I structure my classes around what level of knowledge each student has, as well as working with any injuries or disabilities.
I am inspired by the quest to discover who and what are at our essence, and to explore the relationship between reality and consciousness. I taught therapeutic yoga at a senior residence for a year. I see the benefit of my daily yoga practice. I find calm, peace, and joy within me. I strongly believe in the benefits of self-care and enjoy supporting others in the time they set aside for it.
I base my teaching on what I see, how people in a class move, in the case of private- how the individual moves and his or her history and goals. My classes are "sneaky strong," full of slow, specific movements that are solid and not hyper-mobile. Students find my classes very brainy and solid- my strength is offering students precise body awareness through my language and by taking our time.
Acknowledging that each student is unique, I provide a welcoming and safe environment to help students create their own yoga practice. Although group lessons are great, private lessons allow for me to work with my student's goals, whether it might be to increase flexibility, improve general toning, or increase relaxation, I am here to help.
I teach my classes so anyone can do the sequences. Both the Beginner and the advanced student. I start with a mediation, warmup, breathing, the routine and end with mediation. I always include the following: Toes, Hip and wrist stretches.
A typical class is largely dependent on the person(s), if you have a specific flexibility goal/pose you'd like to achieve we can work on that. If you want to improve ROM in a certain part of your body we can work on that. If you want to focus on relieving stress and creating calm, we can focus on that. I believe in being adaptable and open, and am always willing to learn to delight my students.
My classes are based on embodied bio-mechanics and can range from gentle, slow Yin-style meditations to more heat-producing Vinyasa Flows, and everywhere in-between! Sequences are inspired by the season, time of day, energy of the student, and phase of the moon.
I have a wide variety of teaching styles. I love to teach Gentle Flow and Restorative Yoga. Flow is a form of practice that is breath lead, is challenging for the body and is form of moving meditation. Restorative is a passive practice that allows your nervous system to rest and recharge. All of my classes are taught with guided intention.
I teach yoga to help others feel good, physically, mentally and spiritually. Personally, I aspire to become a better student. As the Chinese proverb says, a good teacher remains a student for the rest of his life. Unlocking your chakras one class at a time.
My classes are focused on correct alignment of Yoga poses, with an emphasis on safety and awareness. I structure my classes to provide a balance between flexibility and strength; work and surrender; challenge and ease. Students can expect to feel centered, balanced, and relaxed after a class.
Sarah likes to teach strong, powerful flow classes, and restorative yin classes. Balance is key! An emphasis on awareness of breath is a key feature of any class taught by Sarah, and modifying poses in order to encourage healthy alignment and natural breath is a vital aspect of her methodology.
My teaching is based on experiential learning. I teach to all learning modes - visual, oratory and experiential. For example, together, we learn about yoga, yoga styles, yoga practices and techniques. Students are then guided through physical practices of yoga. Different sequencing is introduced theoretically and experientially.
My teaching method is to guide students through their practice, not to force anyone or guilt anyone into postures. This practice is for each individual student to find their own strength and comfort. I guide students through a pre-planned set of poses (a sequence), but always allow for modifications and changes through out the class to match how each individual feels in that moment.
Depending on the style the student would choose, I adapt my knowledge to his/her choice. During a Hatha class, we follow the traditional style starting with the sun salutation series and moving through the practice in a slow flow holding postures for a certain amount of breaths.
I adapt my style to suit the physical abilities or limitations of each individual who wants to practice yoga, and of each woman who wants to work on the core of her body. My typical yoga class would start with getting to know the yoga practitioner, some relaxation with deep yogic breathing , yoga postures (asanas) adapted to the needs of the individual, breath work and final relaxation.
I teach Ashtanga, Hatha, vinyasa, Prana and laughter yoga. My classes all have a focus on unifying the mind, body and spirit while having a good workout too. With my extensive knowledge about Hindu and Buddhist mythology, attending my class becomes a transformative experience.
To describe a beginning session in this fluid routine... Keep in mind we want to flow and stretch all the major and minor muscles, tendons and ligaments in our bodies. Do so on a matted/cushioned/carpeted area at least as open as you can swing a bat 360° (that will give you room to move) Wear loose fitting sweat pants, tshirt and socks Be slow... be methodical...
I teach yoga in a systematic way in order to provide a safe class that suits all practitioners and avoid any injuries. I focus on alignment and breath more than anything else since alignment brings safety and breath catches the fluctuation of the mind.
My teaching methods include: 1. Strengthening of Muscles and Joints to reduce the risk of sudden injury with age. 2. The lesson Plan focuses on Yogasanas or Practices that helps in creating the space and finding the balance within. 3. The teaching methodology is designed in a pattern that caters to holistic well-being rather than just focusing on physical realm. 4.
I teach with kind words of wisdom and gentle instruction on how to flow with flexibility and balance in each pose using proper breathing techniques and a calm voice for a chime bowl chant and meditation.
Private yoga sessions offer the personalized instruction necessary to deepen your relationship to your body and the many benefits of the practice including reducing stress, fine tuning asana and developing your connection to your breath. Each private class is based entirely on your needs for where you are now.
My methods are fun, relaxing, inspiring, i base my classes on alignment, supporting the low back for strength, inspiration, tailor to level of individual and love working with newbies or beginners! I create on-on -one programs for health and wellness.
I like to teach based on what the student(s) require in that moment. Although yoga is a combination of the physical, mental, and spiritual self there are times where and individual/group may need to focus on just one aspect of self. My approach is based on both structure and flexibility.
I love creating classes that are catered to the student's needs. A typical class is 1 hour but I am flexible with time depending on the students' needs.
