About Marilyn
I am a filmmaker and writer, but I've been tutoring and teaching Spanish for 5+ years, working with middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students. I am very passionate about my language and sharing my insights to learn it. Some of my biggest accomplishments as a tutor is to have helped students who needed a 5 for the AP exam and were at a 3 level.

I create individual lessons for different types of students. I am trained to help students with learning disabilities.
My lesson plan varies, but normally it goes like this:
- Assess student knowledge, fluency, and level.
-Create a lesson plan based on that.
- Incorporate speaking and listening.
- Learn cognates, idioms, and expressions.
- give techniques and strategies for content retention.
-give a quiz, a test, or a fun creative project. (depending on the student).
