About Janice
My name is Janice Stark. I lived in France as a child. I was educated in the public French school system. I've taught French and English for 14 years and love to see my students excel!
I also tutor both English and French on Skype which is very efficient. My students succeed because I take the mystery out of learning with games and other fun activities. I also help with essays and oral activities by example. With these and more all the help and support is available. By the way, I love questions. We become students together.

I am a credentialed teacher. I have a degree in French language and literature.
Earning my degree was one of my best achievements. I actually wrote a thesis paper comparing and contrasting two Emile Zola novels. I am still a learner! I grew up in Bretagne, France. I am naturally bilingual, French and English. This gives me an advantage for all levels. Learning should be exciting and achievable. That is my promise. Finding shortcuts to the process.I also tutor English, all levels, and prepare students for the SAT and AP English and French.

Details
I am an accomplished teacher with students who have achieved great success. They stay in touch with me after many years. One is a lawyer, another is an art restorationist, I have 2 attending UC Berkeley and more. We have held cultural events Friday where they relate to the culture to relate better to the language. That has been inspirational to all of us, because language doesn't develop in a vacuum. I hope we can experience love of language together. Questions are my specialty. Ask away!
