About Ryker

I'm a current medical student at UWA, and I understand how challenging and daunting the medical school interview/MMI process can feel. I went through it myself, through preparing thoroughly, performing strongly, and ultimately receiving my offer to study medicine at UWA — so I know first-hand what it takes to communicate confidently and stand out for the right reasons.

I currently tutor university students and genuinely enjoy helping others work through big academic goals. My coaching style is clear, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs, with a strong focus on building confidence, developing structure in your responses, and understanding exactly what interviewers are looking for.

If you're working towards getting into medicine, I'm here to make the interview preparation process feel less overwhelming, more structured, and far more achievable.

About the lesson

These lessons are built on the idea that structured preparation is the key to performing well in your medical school interview. MMIs can feel unpredictable and high-pressure, but with the right strategy, clear frameworks, and consistent practice, they become far more manageable. Having been through the process myself, I know what it takes to communicate confidently and stand out.

The first free session is used to clearly define your goals, understand your strengths and weaknesses, and map out a targeted interview preparation plan. I’ll walk you through the structure of the MMI process and run a short practice task to assess your current approach and communication style.

Each lesson is completely tailored – whether we’re working through common MMI stations, refining your structure, improving clarity and confidence, or doing full mock interviews with detailed feedback. Sessions usually run for an hour, but I’m flexible depending on what we’re focusing on.

Lessons are available online or in-person in Perth, and are designed to be focused, practical, and highly individualised to help you build confidence, improve performance, and make the journey into medicine feel a whole lot more achievable.
