About Oliver
Hi there, I'm Oliver!
As a long-time volunteer in the cadet organisations and having been through GCSEs and A Levels in the last 5 years, I know what struggles students face today. Having used everything I learnt over my years at school and with the cadets I was able to score myself one of the UK's leading degree apprenticeships in the aerospace sector. Not only that, but I am proud to serve in the RAF Reserve.
By bringing a humorous, engaging and personal approach to learning, I aim to discover the ambitions of the student and build on those, setting achievable targets and working through problems the way I would in my day job as an Engineer. With 2 Enhanced DBS checks carried out recently and ongoing volunteer work within the RAF Air Cadets, I'm in a great position to be able to introduce you to my journey, and help you get through yours.
For me, this lifestyle only works if I balance it with enough fun, enough laughs and just enough seriousness. Though sometimes, this fun stands at the end of an honest day's work and the effort that you put in. If this interests you, let's get a lesson booked and we can discuss what you want out of it!

For me, learning isn't about memorising pages of notes just to pass a test - it's about finding that "lightbulb moment" when a complex idea suddenly clicks. Some will say I haven't found it yet, but we can work together on that.
Textbook theory can feel dry, but when you connect Maths, Physics, or Geography to real-world problems and global systems, these subjects become genuinely exciting. I can introduce you to the world of work and how some of these subjects influence your lives every day, plus what it's like to actually use these skills in the day job.
My preference is always a good mix of past papers across the exam boards once we have established a solid base level of understanding. We have to know what we are up against, because those marks won't find themselves.
Because of my background in both heavy industry and the military, I bring huge energy, real-world context, and structured discipline to every session. I know what it takes to balance big commitments, push through tough academic hurdles, and prepare for the future.
