When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
It started back when I started relating Math and Physics with nature and goes all the way back to when I was in Senior Secondary School. Applying mathematical methods to the solution of a wide range of real-world situations and this drive drew me to Applied Math, Statistics, and Physics. I excelled in maths, physics, and biology in school. I chose Mechanical Engineering as a major because it mixes the profound, abstract understanding of mathematics and Physics with the practical world.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
I admire Maths and Physics for its elegance in substantiating the natural rules. To me, it is immensely beautiful how seemingly disparate notions come together flawlessly, linked by an elaborate network of mathematical principles. I attempt to impart that beauty to my students through my teaching. Mathematical and statistical methods are used to solve problems using applicable technologies such as computer and data sciences. So, precise knowledge of various difficult Maths problems is a sufficient motivation for me to be enthusiastic about my chosen interesting path.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I feel that the tutor's role is to facilitate and channel students' learning. In this manner, the tutor should identify students' misunderstandings and deficiencies and explain them thoroughly using innovative and professional tactics based on extensive expertise and knowledge in a kind, attractive, and humorous manner.
It's genuinely amazing when a student realises that an idea or subject isn't as difficult as they once imagined. Getting there needs patience, effort, and innovation. Sometimes I have to explain a formula four times before it works, and I am always happy to do so because the end result is much more fulfilling.
Based on these patterns, I have always strived to do my best for all of my students. This is why their generosity and dedication have always inspired me and earned me the title of "Superprof".
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
I was lucky to be blessed with my role model in Physics and Maths during my High School. They would always try to understand the gap in the knowledge and application very patiently and then bridge it with their experienced approach. They would not rush but give extra time to the concepts which otherwise would not be easy for students to grasp. I try to imbibe the same calm and patient approach with my students.
What are your keys to success?
My Keys to success would be patience, determination and inspiration from nature around us. The reason students like to take my classes would be my friendly nature, clear basics and time management of the class and I try to inspire my students even when the going gets tough and brings results for them.
