We will learn in a way that will develop your curiosity and critical thinking for music. We will typically use songs you want to play as a tool to learn new concepts that might relate to harmony, technique, analysis and arrangement.
I have been teaching for 25 years and had more than 300 students, including a few of them while teaching as a full-time faculty at the University of Minnesota, in Knox College and in conservatories.
Lessons will fit ANY level and ages, starting at 8.

Perfect! I studied with him for some time, and it was one of the most valuable learning experiences I’ve had. Instead of just showing me what to play, he helped me understand how music actually works. We focused a lot on creativity, improvisation, and piano arrangement, and that completely changed how I approached both jazz and other styles like pop and rock.
What stood out was how he adapted everything to my level. In the beginning, I worked on creative exercises, reading, and coordination, and as I improved, we moved more into improvisation and analysis. We always used repertoire, but in a way that helped me think and understand, not just repeat.
He has a very strong background as he taught at the University of Minnesota and the American University in Cairo, and it seems like he has been teaching music for decades.
After studying with him, I became much more independent. I was able to learn music on my own, felt more confident playing with others, and understood what I was doing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to really understand music and become more creative, not just follow instructions.- Good and talented studentSee the response Adolfo :

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Adolfo was one of the best if not the best director I played for. He was an even better pianist, and a wonderful person to be around. He always knew what to work on in rehearsal and was great at booking gigs and events for combo and big band. Overall a wonderful musician, director, producer, and person.
I am studying music in university, and out of all the many music educators I have worked with, Adolfo has been the most technically impressive to me. He was my professor for a year at the University of Minnesota Morris, and in that time, I both learned under him as a student and played with him at many gigs. I really improved as a live performer with his advice and guidance.
