About Rory

Graduating with a Math degree from the University of Waterloo set the stage for my 3 years of teaching. Sitting across from a kitchen table while a student struggles with a word problem, I realize the fundamentals always require more attention than standard curricula allow. My transition from industry into this role means I carry habits that prioritize efficiency and logical rigor.

These 10 listed skills including SAT prep and competition math are tools I use to build independent thinkers. I'd love to learn more about students' progress in geometry and arithmetic.

About the lesson

Silence fills the room during our first session as I listen intently to how your student approaches a fresh problem. This diagnostic phase provides the data I need to craft a precise learning path.

Homework modules are assigned after every single lesson to reinforce the concepts we covered together. My industrial background ensures the work remains grounded in practical application rather than abstract theory.

I maintain a 7.0 score metric for tracking progress throughout our 3 years of collaboration. Calculus and algebra become manageable once the foundational gaps are closed.

You will find my teaching style direct because I want my role to become redundant as quickly as possible. This goal drives the way I structure our time together every week. I truly enjoy watching the moment when a concept finally clicks for the student.
