About Alex

My artistic journey started from a young age - my mom was an after-school art teacher, and she encouraged my creativity through painting, drawing, and sculpting. My first job was as her assistant - I grew up in a studio environment, learning effective ways to teach drawing & painting to children aged 7-14 while also creating a fun and engaging environment. As I moved on to pursue my BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design, I continued to teach in both group and individual settings and expanded my experience teaching ages 14 and above. Now, I work professionally in the animation industry, but still wish to share my passion & expertise with both new and experienced artists alike!

About the lesson

Whether your an artist looking to brush up on fundamentals or someone who is completely new to drawing, my individualized drawing class will help you utilize form, shading, and perspective in your art. We will practice important exercises such as shape study, observation drawing, and sketchbooking to help hone your artistic skill-set. I also encourage students to explore their own style and will help to foster your unique vision!
