About Ryan
I am a second-year student at the University of Utah, studying applied mathematics. I am participating in topological data analysis research which aims to discover patterns and shapes in data sets using topology methodology. I love the outdoors: hiking, biking, swimming, running, etc. I love spending time with my wife whenever I can! We are saving to continue renovations on a condo we just bought. I enjoy teaching and mathematics so tutoring is a perfect combo! I am a second-year student currently taking a differential equations class.

I offer 1 hour tutoring sessions for any level mathematics between middle school and Calculus III. I request the homework set/material in question at least 2 days in advance in order to optimize session time. I prefer virtual meetings but am willing to travel within the Salt Lake Valley for an additional fee, depending on location. Lesson plans will vary depending on topic but I seek to understand what needs clarification and will adjust to your needs as time goes on. I have found the most effective method of teaching to be the pathway of: explain, assisted example, self example. I strive to implement this in all tutoring sessions.
