About Sean
Hi! I’m Dr. Sean. For over 20 years, I’ve taught chemistry at the college level, helping students navigate the challenging waters of chemistry. My teaching philosophy is simple: learn through associations. That’s why I take abstract ideas and break them down into relatable, real-world examples. I earned my Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and I’ve spent my career showing students how chemistry isn’t just a subject but another way to see the world. I truly cater my lessons to a student's needs. I always view class materials or assignments in advance as I find that extra level of preparation enables a more interactive and fluid lesson. I am not a lecturer; I'm not here to talk at you but to instead work with you. Together we can tackle practice problems, find dynamic, auxiliary resources, and make a solid study plan to ensure success. Though absolutely optional, I will also gladly assign my students some additional work in between our sessions to help solidify a topic.
