About Kamila
I am an Arabic and Quran teacher of over 25 years. I started teaching in schools and Universities in my home country of Libya and found this extremely fulfilling. My passion grew as I moved to the UK and became very focused on ensuring my children maintain good Arabic and Quran despite growing up abroad. I now have 4 UK bred children who are fluent in Arabic, as if they grew up in Libya! This made me realise the difference between those who end up knowing Arabic and those who sadly lose it or grow up without it, is the right teaching methods and nurture of the Arabic language through engaging with students via topics they find most interesting. I now teach non Arabic-speaking children Arabic and Quran and have expanded to revert and Arabic-curious adults. I teach all ages and all levels. All are welcome! :)

My lessons are interactive and engaging, filled with activities and Arabic conversation, to encourage students to get used to, and try using daily Arabic terms and phrases. Conversations will revolve around daily life and family and lesson subject matters, which will surround Arabic-centric topics e.g. faith, politics, literature, film, tv, society etc. The structure will contain a combination of theory, and written and spoken exercises. Depending on the student’s levels, I like to speak as much Arabic as possible but I am entirely fluent in English so beginners need not worry! Everything will be covered from the alphabet all the way to Arabic grammar and vocab.
