About Audrey

My name is Audrey and I have been a dedicated tutor for 5+ years. My background is in Materials Science and Archaeology, and I am currently studying for my master’s degree at the University of Cambridge. Over the years, I’ve helped students all the way to GCSE and A-Level level. Many of my students have improved their grades, built confidence in their subjects, and secured places at dream universities. English Literature and History are deeply subjective fields of study. My approach focuses on critical thinking and deep understanding, as I actively encourage students to move beyond rote learning. Developing your own perspectives and analyses is key here, as well as becoming aware of biases. I offer help with both analysing and understanding, which is vital towards successfully remembering the large volume of material for exams. I strongly believe that every student learns differently - that’s why I tailor each session to suit their individual learning style, creating a supportive, engaging, and effective environment where they can learn and improve.

If you're looking for an experienced and personalised online tutor, look no further! I have been tutoring students in a variety of subjects for 5+ years in Hong Kong, the US and the UK. Whether you're looking to bolster your knowledge, or get ahead and learn new concepts, I'm here to help. I tutor pupils up to A-Level and offer a variety of subjects including: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, History and English Literature. I also offer help with US standardised tests such as the SAT and ACT. Moreover, I have successfully helped students with their personal statements, as well as general guidance towards selecting Universities and Programmes. For younger students, I’m always happy to learn more about their interests and passions, and offer early guidance on career possibilities. Lessons with me are typically 1-1.5 hours, but these are easily tailored to the student's needs. Similarly, I provide different lesson formats, whether it is after-school homework help, concept clarification or interest exploration.
