A free trial session to assess starting level allows us to see exactly where you stand. It is a simple meeting.
We cover acoustic technique, lead guitar, and improvisation during our time together. Since I have 13 years of experience, I know how to manage chord transitions and grade exam prep for advanced learners. You might find that my background in music theory makes reading sheet music much easier than you expected.

Fingerpicking and blues progressions define my technical approach to the guitar. You should expect a direct path to mastery when we work together. My Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from UBC provides a rigorous framework for reading sheet music and scales.
I have taught 451 students, helping them transition from simple chords to complex improvisation and soloing. Songwriting has always been a way for me to bridge my background with my technical skills. My acoustic technique is precise and my lead guitar work is deliberate. I look forward to seeing where your musical journey takes you.
