About Izzie

I'm a 20 year old student who grew up speaking French at home, in a family of teachers. I love learning languages, I studied French in school but also picked up others on my own (at the moment I'm learning Welsh). I'm a big reader and a writer, I write essays and poetry in my free time. I also enjoy crafts, cooking, movies and board games.

About the lesson

We'll use school materials and real French sources to tackle the tough parts of grammar and communication, with emphasis on language confidence. With a balance of guided exercises and relaxed practice, we'll build strategies to learn new grammar structures and vocabulary, decode new texts and topics, and confidently express yourself in writing and speech. Lessons will be personalised to your goals, be it conversational fluency or exam success. Most will begin with practice reading and listening to level-appropriate sources such as articles, literary extracts, songs and videos. We'll pick out target vocabulary and grammar in the source, then build on those topics in conversation practice and written responses.
