About Olivia
Performing in dimly lit acoustic venues across the American South has defined my musical life for 13 years. This path led me to earn my BM Popular Music degree from the University of Southern California. I treat the guitar like a storyteller because that is how I started my own path.
My teaching character blends gospel roots with blues grit to help students find their own voice. I have spent 13 years refining my approach to guitar instruction. Music is a language. I cover power chords and chord transitions alongside complex music theory concepts.
I show kids and teens how to handle electric technique and reading tabs. My favorite part of the job is watching a student finally nail a tricky barre chord progression. It brings me genuine joy to see those fingers move with confidence.

Good music starts with a solid foundation that supports creative freedom. Rhythm matters most.
I integrate improvisation and soloing into our time together so you gain real intuition. My 13 years of experience informs how I guide you through blues progressions and songwriting basics. Because I want you to succeed, I provide custom backing tracks so students can practise soloing at home. We will also cover tuning and maintenance until your instrument feels like a natural extension of your own hand.
