About Christy
"Adult learners often begin their journey with a collection of confusing tabs and fragmented knowledge. I hear the precise, clean chime of a well-tuned acoustic guitar before any technical discussion begins. My path involves 13 years of performing after graduating from the Manhattan School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance.
I focus on improvisation, soloing, and songwriting to ensure the instrument becomes an extension of your creative voice. My teaching covers reading sheet music, scales, modes, and ear training to bridge the gap between intuition and theory. I find deep satisfaction in helping others understand the maintenance required to keep their equipment in top condition. Teaching allows me to share the music that has defined my life."
