About Tammy

Public school teacher for 29 years.
13 years in Spec. Ed
13 years in Math Ed
3 years in Gifted Eduction

I am Currently an Instructor/Professor in an Education Department at a small Liberal Arts school.

I love busting the myth that math is only for those with the "math brain". I don't profess to be a mathematician; however, I am a good and effective math teacher who finds ways to make math matter and help students make sense of math.

About the lesson

I will teach math in ways that break things down so student move beyond a procedural understanding to a conceptual understanding.

I am a teacher of teacher who believes that Math is NOT sit and get--rather an approach that considers learning modalities and student needs.
