About Travis

Who am I? Active Duty military who loves teaching and mentoring others be it mathematics, science, or even military operations. I’ve instructed people how to operate complicated electronic warfare gear and how to complete statistical surveys for business ventures. I am pursuing my PhD in Global Change and Leadership from Pepperdine University starting in 2026. You will not be disappointed. I am known for engaging students and getting them as excited in topics as I am.

About the lesson

Are you a high school or undergraduate collegiate student who is struggling with math or science classes? It is difficult understanding all these formulas… and when I was in your shoes, I was in the same boat!

My approach to math and science is that it is a language and if you understand math, you need to understand the language. As well, there are multiple ways (or means) to complete math problems, so I work with students to understand the best way to solve math problems.

I use humor, critical thinking, and multiple“non-standard” approaches to instruction that are tailored for the person.
