About Camilo

I’m an Audio Engineer, Musician, and graduate in Social Communications and Audiovisual Arts — and I’ve always had a passion for languages. I speak Spanish and English almost natively, and I love sharing that knowledge with others. I also enjoy learning languages myself — I can understand a bit of German, Italian, and Portuguese — so I know exactly what it feels like to be in your shoes as a language learner. Teaching is something I genuinely love to do. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, motivated, and confident from day one. Whether you’re just starting Spanish or already advanced, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that works for you. You can expect lessons that are clear, practical, and even a little fun. I take the time to understand what you want to achieve, so every session feels meaningful and gets you closer to your goals. I’m here not just as a tutor, but as someone who’s excited to see you succeed — and I’ll bring patience, professionalism, and plenty of encouragement to every lesson.

About the lesson

¡Hola! When we first meet, I always start by asking: “What are your expectations about the language?” Knowing what you want helps us set clear, realistic goals together — whether you’re learning Spanish for school, travel, work, or just for fun! I used to be a university professor, and one thing I loved was teaching through real-life stories and experiences. I still do that! Instead of just memorizing rules, we’ll connect the language to things that actually matter to you. I also put myself in your shoes every time I prepare a lesson — I ask, “If I were learning this, how would I want it taught?” This makes every session feel useful and tailored to you. Here’s what a lesson looks like: Quick review to get warmed up New topic explained with examples, stories, and conversation Practice time where we work through exercises or real-life situations A quick recap and goal for next time so you always know what’s next You can be completely new to Spanish or an advanced speaker — we can always learn something new every day. My goal is to make learning Spanish feel natural, stress-free, and maybe even a little fun!
