About Claudio

I'm Claudio, a TEFL and IELTS certified language instructor with over eight years of experience teaching learners from diverse cultural backgrounds. What began as a part-time endeavour to support my volunteer work in 2018 quickly grew into a passion for helping people unlock their potential through language learning. Driven by a genuine interest in people, I see language not just as a tool, but as a bridge—transforming barriers into pathways for connection, growth, and opportunity. I take pride in creating a supportive, laid-back learning environment where students feel comfortable to experiment, express themselves, and make real progress. My teaching approach is structured yet flexible, combining proven methodologies with a strong focus on conversation and real-world application. Lessons typically follow a dynamic cycle of preparation, practice, and production. Beyond the classroom, I’m an avid reader and nature enthusiast who finds inspiration in hiking through mountains and trails. I also enjoy capturing the world through photography—whether it's the quiet beauty of landscapes and wildflowers, the intricate details of insects, or portraits of people with a vintage aesthetic. When it comes to entertainment, I gravitate toward films with compelling, thought-provoking plots and an eclectic mix of music, with a special appreciation for instrumental and Indie Folk genres. Teaching languages has allowed me to connect with people across cultures, explore what motivates them, and discover the fascinating links between languages. It's this ongoing exchange—of knowledge, culture, and perspective—that continues to inspire my work every day.

About the lesson

In my classes, you'll learn a range of practical techniques—from setting clear goals and creating effective outlines, to using illustrations and storytelling to leave a lasting impression. Each 60-minute session includes both a breakdown of the technique and hands-on practice, so you can apply what you learn immediately. If you're preparing to present in another language, such as English or Portuguese, we’ll also focus on relevant vocabulary and how to express ideas clearly and persuasively. These lessons are ideal if you're getting ready for a public presentation, a talk, or even a job interview. Whatever your goal, we'll work together to build your confidence and communication skills.
