About Nadia
I am a researcher, academic mentor, and university tutor with extensive experience supporting students at Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels across a wide range of disciplines, including Psychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, Health Sciences, Mental Health, Research Methods, Academic Writing, Statistics, and Dissertation Support.
My academic journey began in the United States, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a pre-medicine concentration. I subsequently completed two Master's degrees in the United Kingdom, one in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology and another in Public Health before undertaking a fully funded PhD at the University of Warwick. My doctoral research was funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), one of the UK's leading research funders.
Alongside my academic training, I have been tutoring and mentoring students since my undergraduate years. I have supported students both online and in person, helping them navigate coursework, examinations, dissertations, research projects, and academic writing. I have also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, delivered teaching and academic support to university students, supervised undergraduate and Master's dissertations, and assisted senior academics in supporting PhD students with research design, methodology, analysis, and thesis development.
As an active researcher, I have authored multiple first-author publications in peer-reviewed international journals and have presented my work at major international conferences. My research has been recognised through both institutional and international awards, including awards for research excellence and conference presentations.
I have experience supporting students from a wide variety of educational backgrounds and learning styles. Whether you are aiming for a first-class degree, preparing a dissertation, applying for postgraduate study, or developing research skills for publication, I tailor each session to your individual goals and level of study.
Some students I support come to me feeling overwhelmed, behind on coursework, or lacking confidence in their academic abilities. I have worked with students who have missed significant numbers of classes due to illness, personal circumstances, work commitments, or other challenges. Through structured planning, targeted teaching, and personalised guidance, I help students identify knowledge gaps, rebuild their understanding, and regain confidence so they can get back on track and achieve their academic goals.
What Makes My Approach Different?
My approach goes beyond simply helping students complete assignments. I focus on teaching students how to think critically, approach problems systematically, and develop the academic and research skills that will benefit them throughout their education and future careers.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. I take time to understand your strengths, challenges, learning style, and objectives before developing a personalised plan of support. Rather than providing generic advice, I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and equip students with practical strategies they can use independently.
My combination of experience as a researcher, tutor, teacher, dissertation supervisor, and published academic allows me to provide insight not only into what universities expect, but also into how high-quality research is designed, conducted, analysed, and communicated. Students benefit from real-world academic experience, current research knowledge, and evidence-based teaching approaches.
Above all, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing the skills needed to succeed academically.
