About Tricia
I have been a classroom teacher, tutor and an author of math textbooks and workbooks for many years. I also founded a math education consulting company. Employees of that company provide training and assistance to teachers of math in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth. We have worked with teachers in all 50 States in the US as well as in many other countries.

Math is fun and interesting when experienced through exploration. Lessons will start by me posing a problem and students in grades kindergarten through eighth having time to think and explore. Students in classes of more than one learner will be encouraged to work collaboratively, challenge each other and discuss solution methods. Using hands-on materials and/or drawing pictures to solve problems will be a part of every lesson. Students will learn how to dissect word problems so that they are accessible and fun.
