About Ash
After graduating, I spent a decade running a coffee shop before building a career as a professional illustrator. I now am a figurative oil painter, with skills in realism, symbolism and portraiture. I have worked with three different schools and collages offering one to one tuition, which is where I discovered my passion for it.
A series of significant life events made me realise that having a voice and expressing our experiences is essential Making meaningful work, discovering what matters to you and finding a way to express it is what I will focus on no matter your medium or style.
I am naturally an open minded and open hearted peer, and as we explore your work and what it means to you, we’ll see you flourish.

I offer a supportive space to discuss your work, share ideas, and receive honest feedback, helping you build confidence and develop a strong artistic voice. The lessons will be highly bespoke, centered around your practice.
Between sessions, you’ll be given practical tasks to find what truly interests you, overcome creative blocks, and discover a style that feels authentic and personal.
These can come in the form of ongoing messages, tips, monthly assignments, and inspirational insights between meetings.
I work with aspiring and developing artists of any age who are considering art as a serious long-term pursuit or full-time career.
