Graduating with a Bachelor of Music in guitar principal from Berklee College of Music defined my technical foundation. This formal training supports 13 years of experience working with advanced learners, hobbyists, and returning players. My methodology centers on the practical reality of playing guitar.
I focus on rhythm guitar, lead phrasing, and essential music theory. You will often find me helping someone decode a complex strumming pattern or mastering specific scales and modes. My ears are trained for detail.
I prioritize songwriting and deep ear training to build your internal musicality. The approach is laid-back and motivating. I start every new partnership with a diagnostic skills check to map out exactly where you stand before we build a custom plan.

Getting you ready for an open mic performance is my primary goal. Honestly, the most effective way to play is to treat the guitar and voice as one unit. We usually start by picking your favorite songs to analyze.
Classics often provide the perfect framework for understanding reading tabs or complex arrangements. I lean on my Berklee training to explain the mechanics of what you are playing. These sessions are direct and practical.
I want you to feel confident enough to jump on any stage in New York, London, or Melbourne without hesitation. We move through the material at a steady pace that respects your time. It feels less like a classroom and more like a jam session.
