About Nabeel

Hello, I’m Nabeel, a Mathematics graduate based in London. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, both from Queen Mary University of London. I studied Maths, Chemistry and Economics at A Level, so I know the subject well from both sides of the classroom.

I enjoy maths most when it clicks for a student, and I try to make lessons patient, clear and encouraging. I’m happy for students to ask questions and make mistakes, because that’s how real progress happens.

Outside my studies I coach youth football, so I’m used to working with young people and with groups. I’m reliable, well prepared and committed to helping each student reach their goals, whether that’s a place at their chosen school or a strong GCSE grade.

About the lesson

I offer both one-to-one lessons and small group sessions, built around the students in front of me. In the first session I work out where each student is: which topics they’re confident with, where the gaps are, and how they approach a question when they get stuck. From there I plan lessons that move through the syllabus in a sensible order and spend more time on the areas that need it.

I focus on understanding why a method works, not just memorising steps, because that’s what helps students handle questions they haven’t seen before. Each lesson combines explanation, worked examples and practice, and closer to the exam we move on to past papers, timed questions and exam technique.

One-to-one lessons give each student my full attention and move at their pace. Group sessions are a more affordable option and work well for students at a similar level, who can learn from working through problems together.

Lessons usually last one hour and can be in person or online.

For 11+, I cover arithmetic, fractions, problem solving and reasoning questions in the style of the exam. For GCSE, I teach both Foundation and Higher tier, from students who need to secure a pass to those aiming for the top grades.

I have a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, both from Queen Mary University of London. I also coach youth football, so I’m used to working with young people and keeping them engaged.
