I am a talented painter and multimedia artist with over 10 years of self-practice. I have taught teens at community centers and led Fine Arts Merit Badge classes for the Boy Scouts of America. I studied Fine Arts and English at Great Bay Community College and have performed live art at music venues, bringing creativity to life before an audience. With a passion for both art and teaching, I blend urban grit with fine art techniques, inspiring students to explore their unique style. About the lesson

Dive into the world of graffiti with our Graffiti Basics Class, where creativity and history collide! This class is perfect for beginners eager to learn the foundations of street art. We’ll start with chisel tips, paint markers, and mops, exploring their unique styles and uses. Along the way, you’ll discover the rich history of graffiti, including the origins of handmade graffiti tools that shaped street art culture.

Next, we’ll move on to aerosol basics, mastering tags and crafting simple pieces that showcase your individual style. You’ll learn essential spray techniques, from can control to layering, building a solid foundation in aerosol art.

Afterward, we’ll head to the drawing board to dive into font styles, exploring the basics of wildstyle, shapes, and influences that define graffiti lettering. You’ll experiment with forms and flow, learning how to make letters dance on the page. Finally, we’ll bring it all together by creating small-scale acrylic graffiti pieces, blending street art techniques with fine art creativity.

Whether you’re looking to express yourself or understand the culture behind graffiti, this class offers a comprehensive introduction.

Join our Graffiti Basics Class, designed for intermediate artists but open to eager beginners! Ages 18+ are welcome. Taught by an artist who has studied Fine Arts at Great Bay Community College and has been an integral part of graffiti and mural culture her whole life. Come learn the craft from someone who lives it!
