About Yolanda
"If you look closely at how a song is constructed, you will see why I moved from the stage to the keys. You might wonder how a musical theater performer ends up teaching piano, but for me, it was a logical evolution.
I have taught 161 students, and many of them started asking for keyboard help while we worked on their vocal accompaniments. With my background from MSM, I bring a unique focus on classical repertoire and pop contemporary styles.
I help you master hand independence and sight transposition while we explore dynamics and expression. We will dig into scales and arpeggios, but we will also talk about how to make those notes feel like a performance. My approach to memorization techniques is designed to keep the music in your fingers rather than just your head. I am thrilled to help you find your voice at the piano as the songwriter’s coach."
