About Sahil
Hello, my name is Sahil, and I am a physics major at the University of California, Berkeley. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and earned 5s on both the AP Calculus BC and AP Physics C: Mechanics exams. I tutor middle school and high school students in math, physics, and statistics.
Studying physics at a top public university means I use these subjects every day, and I know how each concept builds on the last. I take my role seriously: I arrive prepared for every session, respect your time, and tailor each lesson to your school curriculum and goals.
I understand that asking for help can feel uncomfortable, so I keep lessons patient, supportive, and judgment-free. My goal is to help you understand the material, build confidence, and see real progress in your grades.
Whether you are catching up, preparing for an exam, or aiming to get ahead, I would be glad to help you succeed.

I believe math and physics make sense once you understand why a formula works, not just how to plug numbers into it. I start by finding out where you're stuck, then rebuild the idea from the ground up using plain language, diagrams, and real-world examples. From there we work through problems together, and I gradually step back so you're the one solving them. My goal is for you to be able to do it on your own.
A typical lesson:
Quick check-in (5 to 10 min): We go over homework, upcoming tests, and anything that felt confusing since last time.
Concept review (15 to 20 min): I explain the topic step by step, using examples and sketches, and ask you questions along the way so it's a conversation, not a lecture.
Guided practice (20 to 30 min): You work through problems while I coach. I'll give hints instead of answers so you build real problem-solving skills.
Wrap-up (5 min): We recap what we covered and set a short practice plan before the next session.
