About Elizabeth
Music has been my life's calling for as long as I can remember, and teaching has allowed me to share that gift with others for the past seven years. I'm currently pursuing a dual degree in Vocal Performance and Songwriting at Berklee College of Music, with a minor in Live Music Business. My education deepens daily, but my greatest joy comes from passing that knowledge on to students of all ages and skill levels. I create a welcoming space where everyone — from young children taking their first musical steps to adults discovering new creative paths — can explore music in a nurturing environment. I teach voice, piano, guitar, songwriting, music theory, and early childhood music, adapting my approach to meet each student exactly where they are. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the values that guide my life: faith, family, nature, and the beauty of simple living. I believe music should be joyful, accessible, and transformative. Whether we're working through scales, writing your first song, or exploring the magic of rhythm and melody, my goal is always the same — to help you leave each lesson with a deeper passion for music than when you arrived. When I'm not teaching or studying, you 'll find me outdoors, spending time with loved ones, or writing songs that reflect the peaceful, intentional life I strive to live. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length and follows a structured format designed to maximize learning and engagement. Lessons typically include: warm-up exercises and technique work, review of previously learned material, introduction and practice of new concepts or repertoire, sight-reading or ear training activities, and assignment of practice goals for the week ahead. Lesson content is tailored to each student's individual pace, learning style, and musical interests. Students are encouraged to ask questions, share their musical ideas, and take an active role in their learning process.
