About Stacy
Music theory should never feel like a chore that stops you from actually playing. I have spent 13 years teaching guitar because I prefer messy, real world songwriting over dry academic drills.
My BFA from NYU Steinhardt shapes how I approach tuning and maintenance, improvisation, and lead guitar. You will work on scales and modes, acoustic technique, and ear training while reading tabs or sheet music. Keep playing. I am here to help you get the sound you hear in your head onto the fretboard.

Starting out feels like trying to speak a new language while your hands are still learning the grip. We jump right into the guitar work by focusing on the songs you actually care about. My 50 students taught me that 6.0 difficulty spikes are best handled with a steady, positive pace. I bring the technical side of my BFA background to help you understand the mechanics of your instrument.
You get to play through your favorite sections while I provide the feedback. It is just about getting the music out of the room.
