(Alexa is my friend and roommate). I’ve struggled through Gen Chem (CH 23X) this year and Alexa has really helped me pass each term. I don’t really learn too easily and usually find it’s hard for me to learn when people help me. But Alexa has had a really effective way of explaining things to me so that I actually understand them and will retain the information. It also helps that she genuinely cares about not only the subjects she helps with but the success of others, too. I’ve had a couple of paid tutors before, both of them grad students, and Alexa is still a much better tutor than them. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

Alexa tutored me all throughout general chemistry my first year at Oregon State University. She is a wonderful teacher and helped me through complex problems in multiple ways until she found one that made sense to me. Her knowledge in chemistry mixed with her kindness and patience made her a fun person to be around and a very helpful tutor throughout the year!

Alexa is a friend of mine who has helped me study and learn material for chemistry for the past year. Alexa is very knowledgeable and honest about what she does and doesn't know. She comes up with creative ways to remember things and is always very excited to help someone learn. She understands that everyone learns in different ways and works hard to adapt her teaching style to allow everyone to understand the material.
