About Kanika

I am a rising senior bioengineering major with a chemistry minor. A lot of courses I have taken have forced me to approach each subject with a different understanding of the material. I have a true belief that if you put your mind to it, you can learn anything!
In my personal time, I have tutored my younger sister. Although she claims she is “not a math person”, reviewing techniques in ways that are easy for her to remember has allowed her to excel in her math courses. I have also had experience teaching kindergartners how to read, and I understand that patient withconsistent reinforcement is the best way to work through difficult topics.

About the lesson

I believe every student requires a unique approach to learning a subject. I hope to approach you with a specialized lesson plan in the beginning by assessing your confidence in any prerequisites for the course and gauging how you feel about certain concepts in the course. From there, we can focus on the more difficult concepts to solidify your understanding while practicing the concepts you are already comfortable with, resulting in a thorough thinking process that you can apply to your course.
As a bioengineering student, I will be helping in courses that I have successfully aced. Through my own experiences, I’ve learned that I have had to think about concepts in my own way to fully understand the course. Understanding the concepts then helps me remember how to handle the course, rather than just memorizing my notes. This experience has reaffirmed my belief that every student needs to approach their courses in their own unique way to get the most out of their studying.
Moreso, by studying for the MCAT, I have already brushed up on these courses and can provide you with relevant techniques and tricks I found helpful in studying this information.
