About Drew
I’m a biomedical engineering student who has not only taken lots of math classes, but been a math tutor for three years. I have a strong passion for teaching both math and english literature, which shows in how I teach. I have experience with teaching both math and english grammar, literature, and writing. I have also worked with student who have ADHD and dyslexia.

I start each session with a review of something student is already confident in, such as a topic from the previous session or a building block of the topic of the day. Building this confidence helps the student to believe in themselves so they are stronger when they begin to learn topics and skills they are struggling with. I then build into the topic the student is struggling with and use active recall, little games, memory tips and tricks, and wordplay to help them develop the skills to solve the problem. I then work on example problems for the remainder of the session, ending with a quick review of what happened during the session for the student.
