About Yuchen
I am a Biomedicine graduate with six years of mathematical and biomedical science study. Being an undergraduate research participant in Department of Anatomy and Physiology in University of Melbourne for semester long, an exchange student to UCL, an active peer mentor in Melbourne Peer Mentor Program in Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Science of University of Melbourne, and a former semester long tertiary student teacher in Science Gallery, I recognise the key of developing interest and persistence within students to achieve their expectation rather than score driven motivation and passive learning. I understanding different students’ personality and expectations, adopting different methods to help the students with concepts, question solving, and active learning, ultimately making great progression.

My teaching involves dual practice combining concept learning and question practice. Usually the lesson varies from 1-1.5h depending on students' needs. Homework and solution would be handed to the student for extra practice. I has past experience in tutoring yr9-12 students preparing for Maths methods and biology VCE, as well as helping the international students preparing for entering science related foundation course.
